LocalVault is a local-first, encrypted password manager browser extension. Your privacy is our top priority. This policy explains how we handle your data.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your data. All passwords, TOTP (2FA) secrets, and notes are encrypted using AES-GCM 256-bit encryption and stored exclusively on your local device. We do not have access to your data, and no data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers.
The extension requests specific browser permissions (such as reading the current tab URL or accessing the clipboard) solely to provide core functionalities like auto-filling domains and copying passwords. These permissions are used locally and do not involve data transmission.
